what is the difference between endcap and filler?

All question related to floorplanning, power planning, placement, clock tree synthesis (CTS), routing, DRC cleaning, LVS, power, IR drop, Electromigration (EM), ESD, package.

what is the difference between endcap and filler?

ENDCAP cells are usually placed at the endings of rows. Why are they required ? Why can't we just use FILLER cells ?
